Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kato Is Back!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka walks into a left hand.
Tanaka chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Is Back can pounce on him.
Kato Is Back seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Is Back throws a looping overhand right but Tanaka ducks down to avoid it.
Is Back misses with a double jab.
Tanaka takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Tanaka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Is Back sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tanaka somewhat.
Is Back misses with a low kick.

Tanaka rushes Is Back and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tanaka keeps control of Is Back as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tanaka turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tanaka manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Tanaka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tanaka misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Is Back is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tanaka is controlling him well.
