Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Cliche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charlie Cliche could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Greg Page's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Charlie Cliche!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Page!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cliche closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Page quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cliche tries to pass to full mount but Page defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cliche missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Page is looking for a sweep. Cliche is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Page trying to control from the bottom.

Cliche is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Page is just riding it out for now. Cliche eventually gives up the hold.
Cliche thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Page's head.

Page has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cliche is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cliche shoots in and drives through. Page sprawls well.
Cliche shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Page pinned against the cage. Page gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Page pulls Cliche in close to his closed guard and prevents Cliche from doing any damage or advancing position.

and Cliche connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Page misses the jab.

Cliche shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Page pinned against the cage. Page gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cliche shoots in looking for a takedown but Page manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cliche's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cliche is defended easily by Page.

Cliche throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Page was covering up waiting for the punch and Cliche finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cliche stands up over Page, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Cliche throws a strike but Page rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cliche is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cliche is looking to stand up but Page isn't so interested in that idea.

Cliche manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

It looks like Greg Page has been cut.
Cliche misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Cliche thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Cliche moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Page has worked his arm free - good work by Page!

Page is in a horrible position here. Cliche smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cliche cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Page is rocked!


The cut above Greg Page's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Greg Page's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Charlie Cliche!
