PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sacha Petrovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milka CroCow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrovich comes to the cage accompanied by Shunsei. CroCow has chosen Ratatat - Loud Pipes as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sacha Petrovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Milka CroCow!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrovich misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

CroCow rushes Petrovich and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Petrovich scores with a nice hook to the head.
Petrovich lands a body punch in the clinch.
CroCow is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Petrovich is defending well.
Petrovich with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Petrovich misses with a knee to the head.
Petrovich working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
CroCow tries to pull guard but Petrovich holds him up against the cage and eventually CroCow drops back down to his feet.

CroCow lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Petrovich is looking to control CroCow's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Petrovich avoid being mounted?
Petrovich on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Petrovich tries to get out of the position.
CroCow is looking to pass Petrovich's guard but actually Petrovich recovers to full guard.
Petrovich working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from CroCow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
CroCow trying to control but Petrovich is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

CroCow drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Petrovich manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now CroCow has Petrovich in his guard.
Petrovich wanted to stand there but CroCow had control of the position.
Petrovich has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
CroCow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

CroCow has his foot on Petrovich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petrovich works his way back into a safe position though.
Petrovich is looking to stand up but CroCow won't let him.

Petrovich has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing CroCow to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Petrovich is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - CroCow pulls down on the head and he's put Petrovich to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Milka CroCow!
