Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sd Plissken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parsons is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Call Me The Breeze. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parsons throws a lazy uppercut

and Plissken counters with a nice double leg into side control. Parsons won't be happy with that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Parsons is looking to regain half guard here but Plissken keeps moving and retains side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Parsons is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Plissken is working for a kimura but Parsons is defending it quite comfortably.
Plissken lands with a punch from half guard.

Plissken is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Parsons is just riding it out for now. Plissken eventually gives up the hold.
Parsons moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Parsons escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Plissken gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Parsons working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Plissken.
Plissken slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Plissken is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Plissken drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Plissken jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Parsons can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Plissken controls the pace.

Plissken has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Parsons cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Parsons is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The referee warns Plissken that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Parsons is looking for a kimura but Plissken is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parsons to get the leverage.
Plissken is controlling Parsons's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Parsons stalling away here and it's allowed Plissken to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
