Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitrofan Ivanich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, PJ Benn!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ivanich looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Benn shoots in and drives through. Ivanich sprawls well.
Ivanich throws a lazy uppercut
letting Benn counter with a right hand.
Benn shoots for a takedown but Ivanich saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Benn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Benn has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ivanich is desperately trying to improve his position but Benn has a good base and remains in mount.
Ivanich is bucking up trying to escape but Benn cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Benn scoring with strikes but Ivanich is staying in there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Benn is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ivanich can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Benn controlling from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Benn wants to control the pace but Ivanich is squirming around nicely.
Benn lands with some strikes.
Benn looking to control and managing it successfully.
Ivanich tries to lock up and control but Benn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Benn working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Ivanich looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Benn! Submission of the night perhaps?
