Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Jandrin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Jandrin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Jandrin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Berg!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berg fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jandrin takes the fight into the clinch.

Jandrin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jandrin manages to end up in side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Jandrin decides to stand back up. Jandrin steps back and let's Berg get back to his feet.
Berg throws a leg kick but Jandrin moved away.

Jandrin clinches with his opponent.
Berg jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jandrin walks away with a smile on his face. Berg gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jandrin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jandrin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Berg to his feet.
Berg throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jandrin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Berg lands with an overhand left.

Berg looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Berg trying to control but Jandrin is working from the bottom.
Jandrin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Berg is trying to control but can't.

Jandrin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jandrin is pressing down on Berg's thigh, looking to free his foot. Berg is holding on for now.

Well, if Jandrin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jandrin stands up out of the half guard.
Berg is looking to chop away at Jandrin's legs.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Berg enables Jandrin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Berg manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jandrin stands up from Berg's guard - Jandrin perhaps looking for a knockout.

Jandrin on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Berg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jandrin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Berg somewhat.
Berg darts in trying to clinch

and Jandrin counters with a takedown into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jandrin is trying to get an arm triangle but Berg is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jandrin shoots in and bounces Berg off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jandrin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Berg is looking to control Jandrin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Berg avoid being mounted?

Jandrin is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jandrin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Berg tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jandrin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Berg manages to avoid it.

Berg wants to clinch.
Berg shoots in for a takedown but Jandrin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Berg tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jandrin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jandrin moves into range and clinches up with Berg.
Jandrin jumps guard but Berg stands there with Jandrin around his waist. Jandrin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jandrin has Berg pressed against the cage, preventing Berg from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jandrin has picked Berg up - he's going for a ride! Jandrin dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Berg wants to try and get back to his feet.

Jandrin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Berg is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Berg and Jandrin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Berg wants to control but Jandrin postures up.
Berg is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Nick Jandrin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Berg is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Jandrin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Jandrin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Berg is looking to escape.
Jandrin slips a nice elbow through Berg's hands, connecting with Berg's forehead.

Jandrin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nick Jandrin just wasn't active enough.

Jandrin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Jandrin manages to break the clinch.
Jandrin jabs Berg right on the nose. Berg blinks but takes it well.


It looks like Peter Berg has been cut.
Berg throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jandrin moves into the clinch successfully.

Berg has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jandrin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Berg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jandrin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Berg throws a low kick, looking for Jandrin's leg but Jandrin calmly moves out of range.
Jandrin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Berg.
Berg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jandrin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Berg napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jandrin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
