Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eli Gabriel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cameron Haven!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haven shoots in and bounces Gabriel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Gabriel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Haven stands and steps away. Gabriel gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Gabriel circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gabriel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Haven finds it's way round the side to connect with Gabriel's head.

Gabriel scores a takedown into full mount!
Haven is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Gabriel working for a submission but Haven is keeping him at bay.
Haven really wants to buck Gabriel off and get back to his feet.

Gabriel throwing strikes but Haven bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Haven has his feet on Gabriel's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Haven is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Haven feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gabriel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

and Haven decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gabriel's guard.
Gabriel has a closed guard, preventing Haven from standing up.

Gabriel is working an open guard so Haven takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Haven fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gabriel sprawls well initially but Haven persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gabriel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gabriel has his foot on Haven's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Haven works his way back into a safe position though.

Gabriel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Haven can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's time! Gabriel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Haven wants to clinch.

Haven rushes Gabriel and presses him up against the cage.
Haven misses with an elbow over the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head punch on the inside from Gabriel fails to land.
Haven blocks an uppercut.
Haven connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gabriel's face.

Gabriel jumps guard.
Haven must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Haven wants to get up but he can't break Gabriel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Gabriel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gabriel is looking for a kimura but Haven is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gabriel to get the leverage.

Haven tries to clinch but Gabriel moves out of range.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gabriel swats away the attempt to clinch by Haven.

and Haven counters with a takedown into side control.
Gabriel is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gabriel is trying to get back to full guard.
Haven tries to stand and escape but Gabriel is controlling the position.
Gabriel throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Haven tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Gabriel makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gabriel.

Haven trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gabriel's guard.
Gabriel doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Haven shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gabriel is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gabriel is working hard here to advance position.

Gabriel tries to control Haven's body but Haven pushes him off. Gabriel squirms to his side and now Haven has his back!

Gabriel tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Haven stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Haven misses with a two punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cameron Haven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Haven stands and steps away. Gabriel gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Haven drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Haven wants to stand but Gabriel has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Gabriel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haven gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gabriel has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Haven is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gabriel.

Haven stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Haven feints and as Gabriel raises his hands in defense, Haven changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Haven shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Haven showed some decent athleticism there.
Haven seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Gabriel wants to control but Haven is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Haven wants to get back to his feet.

Haven decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cameron Haven comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Haven has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
