The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steinberg defends it nicely.
Walters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steinberg's waist but Steinberg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walters off to one side.

Walters tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Steinberg lands a hook that snaps the head of Walters backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walters jumps guard but Steinberg turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Walters is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Steinberg is defending well.
Steinberg is pushing Walters up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Steinberg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Steinberg makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Walters dives in and grabs Steinberg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steinberg pushes down on Walters's head and hops out.
A decent looking cross lands there for Steinberg.
Walters takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Walters takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Steinberg counters with a nice low kick that buckles Walters's knee momentarily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Walters. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Walters is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Steinberg sees it coming and defends easily.
Steinberg is looking to control Walters's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Steinberg avoid being mounted?

Steinberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Walters looking to sit in guard and control but Steinberg gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Steinberg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Steinberg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Walters is trying to keep Steinberg in close.

Walters escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steinberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Walters pushes a forearm under Steinberg's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Steinberg is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
