Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Barry Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kick Snare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snare has chosen Lonnie G - February Mix as his entrance music. Barry Sanders has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barry Sanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kick Snare!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snare checks a leg kick.
Sanders just misses with a punch to the body.

Snare feints and as Sanders raises his hands in defense, Snare changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Snare with a flurry of punches that miss.
Snare chips away with some ground and pound.
Sanders keeping moving, preventing Snare from controlling successfully.
Snare throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sanders works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sanders preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Snare scoring with punches to the head and body.
Snare throws a strike but Sanders rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sanders drops back looking for a leg! Snare is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Snare manages to kick Sanders off! Sanders jumps back into Snare's guard.

Snare has an active guard here but Sanders has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Snare trying to control but Sanders postures up.
Snare looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sanders prevents Snare from improving his position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kick Snare has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sanders will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sanders connects with a good right hand that stumbles Snare. Snare circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Left hook, right uppercut from Sanders.
Snare misses with a lunging right hand
and Sanders counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Snare keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sanders.
Sanders lunges at Snare with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Snare's hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Snare. Sanders does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sanders attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Sanders throws a series of punches but Snare moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sanders tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanders misses with a shot to the body
and Sanders takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kick Snare will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Snare checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sanders comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sanders misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanders misses with a wild body shot.

Snare pushes Sanders up against the cage in a clinch.
Snare throws an elbow but it misses.
Sanders blocks an elbow strike from Snare.
Snare missing with knees to the body.
Snare trying to stall but Sanders improves his position.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Snare just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sanders's brow.
Snare throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Snare taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Sanders wants to get back to striking at distance but Snare won't allow it.
Snare trying to land knees to the body.

Sanders is looking to break free of the clinch but Snare has double underhooks.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Snare leaning his opponent against the cage.
Sanders is trying to force a seperation but Snare has the dominant position.

Snare creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Sanders wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sanders dodges an elbow strike from Snare.
Snare tries to land knees in the clinch but Sanders avoids the damage to the body.

Sanders breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Snare showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sanders.
Nice cross by Sanders.
Snare scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sanders swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sanders is looking to wear down Snare with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Sanders throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Snare manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sanders on his heels. He'll look to pass Sanders's guard now, I'm sure.
Snare tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanders is retaining full guard.
Snare postures up in Sanders's guard and throws a big left but Sanders blocks it.
Snare wants to control from the top but Sanders keeps moving.
Snare trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Snare stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Sanders throws up his legs and catches Snare in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Snare tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Sanders! That came out of nowhere!
