Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chalky White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James McManus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chalky White!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White is trying hard to land a takedown here. McManus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

McManus gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows White to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
White throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

McManus manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

McManus tries to control but White wriggling away.

White is trying to stand back up but McManus is controlling him
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth.

White is trying to maintain the position but McManus is very close to passing his half guard.
White wants to improve his position but McManus is controlling well.

White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

White is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McManus's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McManus's back!

McManus rolls, trying to escape but White keeps control of the position.
White lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
White really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for McManus.
McManus looking very determined here, making life difficult for White.
White might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McManus kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McManus is trying to remain composed but White is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
The referee is taking a good look at McManus as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from White!

White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McManus tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McManus to the ground. McManus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
White shoots for a double leg takedown but McManus sprawls well. He's pushed White's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
James McManus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chalky White.
White drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McManus fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
McManus digs a good hook to White's body.
McManus lands a glancing blow to the side of White's head.
White throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McManus's waist but McManus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing White off to one side.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from White is defended easily by McManus.
McManus jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

A lazy left from McManus finds it's target.
White takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

McManus lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for White!

White is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
White tries to hold on but McManus postures up.
White manages to regain half guard. Good work.

White is doing well to control the position and prevent McManus from advancing to side control.
McManus stops White from getting back to his feet.
White is positioning himself well to prevent McManus advancing to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chalky White wasn't active enough on the ground.
White shoots for a takedown but McManus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McManus connects with a body shot that sends White's belly button to the back.
White closes this distance looking for a takedown but McManus circles away.
Chalky White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McManus scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Chalky White will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! McManus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
White throws a big right hand that misses.
McManus looking to control.
McManus can't keep his opponent in guard - White advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Chalky White has got the better of the ground game so far.
White landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
McManus is looking to control White's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McManus avoid being mounted?
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
White lands with a punch from half guard.

White wants to take a breather but McManus is having none of it.
White passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McManus!
White scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
White lands a big elbow.

White fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
McManus really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McManus is looking to escape.
White lands with some strikes.
James McManus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

White postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have McManus in real trouble here! The ref calls for McManus to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
