Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoki Kurinoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Colton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trent Colton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Colton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kurinoshi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Colton's guard.
Kurinoshi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kurinoshi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Colton gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kurinoshi breaks the clinch.
Colton fails with the takedown

and Kurinoshi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Colton!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Colton suckers Kurinoshi into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Colton is now in Kurinoshi's guard!
Colton wants to stand but Kurinoshi is controlling his posture from full guard.

Colton wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Kurinoshi's closed guard. He's half up but Kurinoshi has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Kurinoshi pivots and extends the arm, Colton falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Kurinoshi! Well done that man!
