The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbarino blocks a jab.
Barbarino changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Malek tries to avoid it but Barbarino manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Malek to the ground. Malek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A cross from Malek lands.
It looks like Vinnie Barbarino has been cut.
Barbarino fails to land the takedown.
Malek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Malek wants it to stay on the feet.
Jai Malek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vinnie Barbarino.

Barbarino looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Malek is fending him off so far but Barbarino persists. Nope, Malek circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barbarino stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Malek swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barbarino is looking to work some ground and pound but Malek has wrist control.

That was a close round but I would say that Jai Malek will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Malek has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barbarino finds it's way round the side to connect with Malek's head.
Malek is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Malek counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barbarino shoots in looking for a takedown but Malek manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Barbarino's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Vinnie Barbarino's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Malek buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Barbarino's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Malek cracks a nice hook into Barbarino's ribs.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vinnie Barbarino's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Jai Malek decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
