Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Garrick Ballantyne!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ames misses with a low kick.
Ames attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ballantyne throws a leg kick that is checked
and Ames counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ames on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ballantyne. Ballantyne obviously looking to wear him down.
Ballantyne pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ames is out of range and Ballantyne settles back down.
Ballantyne lands a high kick!
Ballantyne throws a low kick, looking for Ames's leg but Ames calmly moves out of range.
Ballantyne scores with a punch to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ballantyne explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ballantyne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ballantyne fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ames has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ballantyne feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Ames crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Garrick Ballantyne!
A less than humble Garrick Ballantyne misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
