The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smokeleaf sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hall somewhat.

Smokeleaf kicks Hall off and gets to his feet.
Hall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smokeleaf as he jumps to the side.
Smokeleaf tries to clinch there but Hall circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hall is defended easily by Smokeleaf.
Jesus Smokeleaf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Col. John T. Hall.
Hall shoots in looking for a takedown. Smokeleaf tries to sprawl out of it but Hall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smokeleaf manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Col. John T. Hall's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
