Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Bisping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willis comes to the cage accompanied by Hometown Hero. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Michael Bisping enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Patrick Willis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Michael Bisping!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Willis enables Bisping to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Willis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bisping advances to half guard.

Bisping decides to return to a standing position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Willis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Willis pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bisping is out of range and Willis settles back down.

Willis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bisping manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bisping preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Willis lands a couple of elbows.

Willis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bisping looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bisping looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bisping!

Bisping wants to take a breather but Willis manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bisping.

Bisping is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Willis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Willis has escaped and now he's on top!

Willis distracts Bisping with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Willis won't allow Bisping to get back to his feet.

Willis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bisping swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Willis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Bisping looking to hit a scissor sweep but Willis is one step ahead there.
Willis wants to control from the top but Bisping keeps moving.
Bisping working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Willis.
Willis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bisping is keeping the position for now.
Willis passes Bisping's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Willis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bisping has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Willis is working away from the top position though.

Willis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bisping manages to avoid it.

Bisping tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Willis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Willis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bisping as he avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bisping is defended easily by Willis.
Willis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bisping sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Willis somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Willis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Bisping. No joy for Willis on that attempt.

Willis dives in and grabs Bisping's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bisping pushes down on Willis's head and hops out.
Willis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bisping.
Nice sprawl there from Bisping as Willis shoots in.
Patrick Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Willis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bisping can't do much from the bottom here.
Willis throws an elbow but Bisping slips to the side and avoids it well.
Bisping pushes Willis away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Willis gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Bisping is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Willis in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Willis is trying to ground and pound but Bisping uses the momentary lack of control by Willis to regain half guard.
Bisping looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bisping is controlling Willis's trapped leg to prevent Willis from advancing to side control.
Bisping keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Willis with the ground and pound but Bisping uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Willis is working Bisping over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Willis.
Bisping displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Willis.

Horrible takedown by Bisping or perhaps it was just good defense by Willis which made him look bad.

Bisping is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Willis frees his head nicely. Oh but Bisping has switched to an armbar! Willis is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
