Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Carson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Freedmen!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Freedmen counter with a right hand.
Freedmen lands a head shot.

Carson drives through and clinches with Freedmen against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Freedmen.
Freedmen tries to pull guard but Carson won't allow it.
Carson misses with a body punch.
Carson misses with a body punch.
Freedmen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Carson lands with a right to the head.
Carson misses with a punch to the body.
Carson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The referee is keeping an eye on Carson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Freedmen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Carson uses from the top position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Carson is looking to stand up but Freedmen won't let him.

Carson wants to control from the top but Freedmen keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Scott Carson just wasn't active enough.
Carson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Freedmen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Carson scrambles back to his feet.
Carson throws a nice looking combination but Freedmen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Carson wants to clinch but Freedmen slips to the side
and Freedmen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A left hand lands to the body for Carson.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Freedmen struggles to land a body shot inside as Carson controls his hands.

Freedmen lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Carson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Freedmen misses with some punches.
Freedmen lands a right hand.

Freedmen pulls guard.
Carson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Freedmen's guard.

Carson throwing strikes but missing.
Carson showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Carson postures up in Freedmen's guard and throws a big left but Freedmen blocks it.

Carson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Freedmen, up you get!
Freedmen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Carson moves out of range of the body kick from Freedmen.
Freedmen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Freedmen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Carson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Freedmen.
Freedmen scores with a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carson misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Scott Carson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freedmen scores with a kick to the body.
Freedmen lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Carson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Freedmen moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Freedmen avoids the body shot from Carson.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
An inside leg kick lands from Freedmen.
Carson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A slapping leg kick lands for Freedmen.
Freedmen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Freedmen lands a nice hook to Carson's body. Carson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Carson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Freedmen's corner calls for a 1-2. Freedmen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Freedmen throws the kick towards the body but Carson avoids it.
Carson tries to clinch but Freedmen is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Freedmen dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Carson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Freedmen counters with a stiff right hand.
Carson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Freedmen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Freedmen has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Freedmen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carson was well out of range. Poor timing from Freedmen.
Carson wants to clinch but Freedmen slips to the side
and Freedmen counters with a good low kick that Carson was not able to check.
Carson tries to clinch but Freedmen moves out of range.
Carson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.


Carson is rocked!
Scott Carson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carson walks straight into a right hand from Freedmen - that's dropped him! Freedmen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Carson from any more punishment! Carson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Roger Freedmen!
Our winner, Roger Freedmen, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
