Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Sommers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dynamite Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nixon has chosen Fear is Our Tradition by Ignite as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dynamite Nixon!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nixon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sommers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nixon counters with a thumping low kick.
Sommers throws a nice looking combination but Nixon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dynamite Nixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nixon misses with a head kick.
Nixon throws a leg kick that misses.
Nixon throws a poor cross that misses
and Sommers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nixon scores with a body shot.
Sommers is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Nixon.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nixon tests Sommers's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sommers takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Good leg kick by Nixon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sommers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nixon pinned against the cage. Nixon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nixon bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sommers throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Nixon's head.
It looks like Dynamite Nixon has been cut.
Sommers scores with a one two! Nixon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Nixon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sommers.

Nixon scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sommers in his tracks.
Nixon throws a leg kick but Sommers checks it.
Sommers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Crunch! Nixon slams his shin into Sommers's torso.
Nixon blocks a head kick by Sommers.
Sommers's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nixon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sommers scrambles back to his feet.
Sommers uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nixon.
Sommers connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nixon momentarily.
Nixon slips a jab and a cross from Sommers.
Nixon scores with a sloppy right hand. Sommers should have avoided that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd cheers as Nixon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sommers doesn't seem phased though.
Sommers will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Oh Sommers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Nixon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sommers's corner calls for a 1-2. Sommers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sommers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Nixon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
An inside leg kick lands from Nixon.
Sommers is breathing heavily.
Sommers on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sommers fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Nixon checks it well.
Sommers avoids the body shot from Nixon.
Sommers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nixon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sommers somewhat.
Nixon connects with a body shot.
Sommers takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd cheers as Nixon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sommers doesn't seem phased though.
Nixon drops his shoulder and cracks Sommers with a huge uppercut! Sommers goes down! Can Nixon finish him?
It looks like Vic Sommers has been cut.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Nixon landing some decent shots from guard.
Nixon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Sommers keeping moving, preventing Nixon from controlling successfully.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dynamite Nixon wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sommers throws a series of punches but Nixon moves out of range.
Nixon is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sommers had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Nixon cracks Sommers with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sommers tries a head kick but it misses.
Nixon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dynamite Nixon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nixon takes a kick to the side of the head.
Nixon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sommers moves away.
Sommers chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nixon can pounce on him.
Sommers blocks a head kick by Nixon.
Nixon misses with a hook to the body
and Sommers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sommers tries to land a front kick but Nixon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sommers pushes Nixon up against the cage in a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Sommers comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Nixon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nixon takes an elbow to the forehead.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Nixon.
Sommers working aggressively here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dynamite Nixon dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nixon paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nice uppercut lands for Sommers. That snapped Nixon's head back.

Dynamite Nixon seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Sommers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Sommers throws an overhand right that lands on Nixon's shoulder, as Nixon tries to avoid the shot.
Nixon catches Sommers with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Nixon connects with a leg kick. Sommers looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nixon, as that shot connected.
Nixon jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sommers has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Nixon.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Nixon engages and cracks Sommers with a massive lead left hook - Sommers tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Nixon is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dynamite Nixon!
Dynamite Nixon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
