Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slouth Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Feodore Sabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Slouth Thor has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabre fails with a takedown attempt.
Thor shoots and misses

and Sabre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thor won't be happy with that.
Thor is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sabre's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Sabre looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sabre is looking for a kimura but Thor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sabre to get the leverage.
Sabre thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Sabre throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Thor has one foot on Sabre's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sabre swats away the attempt to clinch by Thor.
Sabre shoots in and drives through. Thor sprawls well.

Thor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Feodore Sabre hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sabre throws a head kick that misses.
Sabre tries a head kick but it misses.
Sabre tries for a takedown but Thor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Slouth Thor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feodore Sabre.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Sabre.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thor.

Thor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Thor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Thor wants to stand but Sabre is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Sabre tries to hold on but Thor postures up.
Sabre is desperately trying to improve his position but Thor has a good base and remains in mount.
Sabre is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sabre is squirming around, avoiding Thor's attempts to control the action.

Sabre is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Thor with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Sabre tries to hold on but Thor postures up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Thor prevents Sabre from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Slouth Thor will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Thor lands a left and a right that send Sabre crashing to the mat, dazed. Thor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Feodore Sabre has been cut.
Slouth Thor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thor misses with a head kick.
Sabre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thor as he avoids it easily.
No joy there for Thor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sabre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sabre somewhat.

Thor throws a head kick that misses.
Thor lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Sabre counters with a single leg into guard. Thor didn't expect that.

Sabre postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sabre is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Thor is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sabre trying to control the position from guard on top but Thor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Thor wants to stand up but Sabre is controlling him.

Thor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sabre is aware though and is defending well.
