Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucifer Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucifer Maia has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Apollo Creed's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Creed pinned against the cage. Creed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Maia misses with a takedown attempt - Creed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Maia shoots in and drives through. Creed sprawls well.
Apollo Creed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucifer Maia.
A left lands for Creed.

It looks like Lucifer Maia has been cut.

Maia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Maia tries to pass to full mount but Creed defends it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Creed drops Maia with a left right combo! Creed follows him down to the ground into side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maia is looking for a sweep.
Maia manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Maia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Creed defends it well.
Creed tries to kick Maia off but Maia keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Maia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Creed is fending him off so far but Maia persists. Nope, Creed circles away and we're back to standing.
Maia closes the distance and clinches up with Creed, looking for a takedown. Maia pushes Creed against the cage but Creed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Maia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Creed swivels and escapes.

Creed misses with a series of wild punches.
Creed throws a series of punches but Maia moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Creed as he avoids it easily.
Maia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Creed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Creed decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Maia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Creed tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Maia.
Maia gets full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Maia is looking for a triangle but Creed pushes his legs off easily.
Maia throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Maia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Creed trying to control the position from guard on top but Maia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Maia is looking for a triangle but Creed pushes his legs off easily.
Maia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Creed's guard.

Maia slips nicely into half guard.
Creed tries to roll over but Maia keeps him under control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lucifer Maia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Maia has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
