Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Honey Badger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gusandall Ingunn!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingunn looks for a takedown but Badger sprawls well.
Badger ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ingunn tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Badger to counter with a crisp jab.
Ingunn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Badger throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Badger defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ingunn.
Badger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ingunn.
Badger slaps away a takedown attempt from Ingunn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Honey Badger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gusandall Ingunn.

letting Badger counter with a right hand.
Gusandall Ingunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Badger lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A slow jab from Badger misses its intended target.
Ingunn shoots in but Badger avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Badger cracks Ingunn with a good jab.
Ingunn tries to move into range but Badger moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ingunn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Badger throws a hook to the side of Ingunn's head but Ingunn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ingunn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Badger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ingunn moves to clinch but Badger breaks away
and Badger counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ingunn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Badger.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ingunn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Badger tries to avoid it but Ingunn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Badger to the ground. Badger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Badger throws a body punch but Ingunn moves out of range.
Ingunn is trying desperately to land a takedown but Badger is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ingunn.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ingunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ingunn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Badger circles away.
Ingunn moves out of range of the strikes.
Badger fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Badger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ingunn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Badger swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Ingunn moves out of range of the strikes.
Badger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ingunn walks into a jab.
Badger throws a jab but it's blocked by Ingunn.
Ingunn takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ingunn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Badger pinned against the cage. Badger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Badger uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ingunn doesn't manage to clinch there - Badger circles away.
Badger throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Ingunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ingunn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Badger struggling a bit here.
Badger prevents Ingunn from moving into mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ingunn has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Badger!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ingunn tries to clinch but Badger is having none of it.
Ingunn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Badger counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ingunn's knee momentarily.
Badger misses the jab.
Honey Badger is winning the standup battle so far.
Ingunn darts in trying to clinch
and Badger counters with a right hand to the body.
No joy there for Badger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Badger.
Badger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Badger bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ingunn's head backwards.
Badger changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Ingunn takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Badger jabs Ingunn to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Badger throws a shot from downtown. Ingunn moves away and avoids it.
Badger shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ingunn eats them both and turns towards Badger to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Badger defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ingunn.
Ingunn is looking to clinch but Badger is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ingunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Good leg kick by Badger there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ingunn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ingunn goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Badger rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ingunn's guard! Nice work there by Badger!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Badger advances to half guard.
Badger seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ingunn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ingunn is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ingunn shoots in and drives through. Badger sprawls well.
Ingunn misses with a few strikes there.
Ingunn has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Ingunn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Badger was well out of range. Poor timing from Ingunn.
Ingunn closes the distance and clinches up with Badger, looking for a takedown. Ingunn pushes Badger against the cage but Badger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gusandall Ingunn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Honey Badger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ingunn shoots in for a takedown but Badger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ingunn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ingunn shoots in but Badger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ingunn is looking to clinch.
Badger connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ingunn drops his hands momentarily and Badger takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Badger's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Badger duly obliges.
Badger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ingunn sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ingunn takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Badger fails to land with a series of punches.
Badger lands a jab to Ingunn's midsection.

And that's the end of the fight!
Honey Badger showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Badger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
