PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between WIlliam Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lane Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by I got my game on. Frost is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 8 second ride (Jake Owen). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, WIlliam Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lane Frost!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Frost.
Frost avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bob ducks under a wild hook from Frost.
Frost looks for a takedown but Bob sprawls well.
Bob wants to clinch up but Frost keeps it at a distance.
Frost on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Bob gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bob.
Frost wants a takedown.
Bob lands a nice shot to the body.

Bob pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Frost jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A right-left combo lands from Bob.

Frost shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bob napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Frost is looking to take a break and control but Bob is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Frost prevents Bob from escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Frost tries for a kimura but Bob is defending well.
Bob on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bob tries to get out of the position.

Frost tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Frost is trying to get an arm triangle but Bob is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Frost wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bob, who protects the arm well.

Frost is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bob is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Frost goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bob rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Frost's guard! Nice work there by Bob!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Frost looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bob gets to his feet - Frost follows without any prompting.
Frost misses with an uppercut.

Bob moves into range and clinches up with Frost.
Frost is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bob gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
WIlliam Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lane Frost.
Frost is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bob pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Frost has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bob after a bit of a struggle.
Frost wants a takedown but no success here.
Frost looks winded!

Bob pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Frost scores with the left hand. Bob knows he should have avoided that one.

Bob darts in and clinches Frost up against the cage.

Bob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bob lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Frost slips a jab from Bob.
Bob lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bob.
Frost fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bob moves out of range of the strikes.
Bob misses with a wild combination.
Frost throws the left hand but Bob avoids the punch easily.

Bob moves into the clinch.
Frost goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bob prevents it.
A body shot lands from Bob.

Bob breaks from the clinch.
Bob misses with an uppercut. Frost saw that one coming.
Frost uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bob.

Bob gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bob throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Frost takes a shot to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bob with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bob lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Bob fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Frost, pushing him back against the cage.

Frost escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

WIlliam Bob dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Frost misses with a left hand
enabling Bob to counter with a crisp jab.
A big left from Frost misses.
Bob ducks under a wild hook from Frost.
Frost looks to land a left hand but Bob moved out of range nicely.
Frost fails to land the takedown.
Bob wants to clinch.
A nice combination there by Bob.
Bob scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Horrible takedown by Frost or perhaps it was just good defense by Bob which made him look bad.
Bob looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bob walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Frost drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bob swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Frost's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). WIlliam Bob!
WIlliam Bob looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I been doing this awile, I win some I lose some and who knows whats next but I'm gonna start winning. I get a title maybe I hang it up maybe not who knows but I'm looking to win this.'.
