Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gaige Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basit Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basit Ali has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gaige Raymond's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gaige Raymond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Basit Ali!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raymond goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Raymond looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ali misses with a two punch combination.

Ali closes the distance and clinches.
Raymond gets through Ali's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ali tries to pull guard but Raymond holds him up against the cage and eventually Ali drops back down to his feet.
Ali is working for takedown but Raymond is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ali tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Raymond smiles and moves away.
Gaige Raymond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Basit Ali.
Raymond misses with a wild combination.
Ali throws a right hand that Raymond ducks under and follows up with a left that Raymond also avoids with ease.

Ali shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ali showed some decent athleticism there.
Raymond gets back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ali wants to control from the top but Raymond keeps moving.
Raymond wants to sweep but no luck.
Ali is looking to work some ground and pound but Raymond has wrist control.
Raymond keeping moving, preventing Ali from controlling successfully.

Raymond has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ali doesn't defend quickly enough and Raymond has managed to lock this one up! Can Ali escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Raymond on a fantastic submission victory.
