Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane Chojacki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wranch Hammer!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chojacki is fending him off so far but Hammer persists. Nope, Chojacki circles away and we're back to standing.

Chojacki gets tackled into the cage by Hammer. Hammer maintains the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chojacki fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hammer sprawls well initially but Chojacki persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Chojacki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hammer shoots in looking for a takedown. Chojacki tries to sprawl out of it but Hammer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chojacki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shane Chojacki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wranch Hammer.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Hammer's face as Chojacki controls the position.

Chojacki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hammer gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hammer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chojacki just stands there and leans against the cage.

Chojacki has Hammer pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chojacki pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hammer tumbling to the mat - Chojacki dives into Hammer's guard.
Hammer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chojacki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chojacki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Chojacki slips a nice elbow through Hammer's hands, connecting with Hammer's forehead.
Chojacki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hammer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chojacki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
