The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turnham has Umanga up against the ropes in a clinch.

Turnham jumps into guard, dragging Umanga to the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Turnham can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Umanga controls the pace.
Umanga won't allow Turnham to sweep him here.

Umanga is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Turnham is looking for a triangle but Umanga pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Umanga postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Turnham wants to stand but Umanga is controlling the position.
Umanga passes Turnham's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
