Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Ioda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Swanson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antonio Ioda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Swanson!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson looking to score a takedown here. Ioda is defending well but Swanson drives through and ends up in Ioda's guard.
Swanson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ioda's guard.
Ioda punching from the bottom.
Swanson wants to stand but Ioda is controlling his posture from full guard.
Swanson gets to his feet. Ioda looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Swanson lands a head shot.
Ioda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Swanson to the ground. Ioda is now in Swanson's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ioda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Swanson is looking for a triangle but Ioda pushes his legs off easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Swanson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ioda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Swanson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ioda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ioda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swanson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ioda has managed to get both his arms back between Swanson's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Swanson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ioda defends well.
Swanson has momentary wrist control but Ioda slips an elbow through the middle.
Swanson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ioda is aware though and is defending well.
Ioda with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Ioda has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ioda chips away with some ground and pound.
Ioda working some strikes from top position.
Ioda trying to control but Swanson is working from the bottom.
Ioda wants to get up but he can't break Swanson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Swanson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Swanson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ioda has his hands clasped together but Swanson extends an breaks Ioda's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Swanson.
