The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boon's half guard.
Jackson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jackson is looking for a kimura but Boon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jackson to get the leverage.
Jackson wants to work for an arm triangle but Boon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Boon works his way to full guard. Good work.
Jackson has gone for a leg lock! Boon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jackson's guard.

Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boon avoids it really well and circles away.
A left and a right from Boon both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Owen Jackson has been cut.
Owen Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boon throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease.

Jackson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boon swivels and escapes.
Bill Boon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Jackson.

Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.

Boon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Boon counters with a head kick that drops Jackson to the mat! Jackson scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boon steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Jackson is out on his feet! Boon sets himself and nearly takes Jackson's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
