Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matte B (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). B comes into the arena with Markoolio anthem blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jimenez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
B closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jimenez circles away.

B forces Jimenez back against the cage and clinches.

Jimenez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

B lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Jimenez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but B has him pressed against the cage.
Jimenez is looking to break free of the clinch but B has double underhooks.
Jimenez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Jimenez throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but B blocks it with crossed arms.

B has picked Jimenez up - he's going for a ride! B dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with B in particular looking to stall.
Jimenez tries to roll over but B keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

B is looking to take a break and control but Jimenez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
B looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jimenez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A combination from Jimenez does no damage.
B shoots in but Jimenez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jimenez closes the distance and clinches up with B, looking for a takedown. Jimenez pushes B against the cage but B circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck for B with that takedown attempt.
Jimenez swats away the attempt to clinch by B.

Jimenez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. B sprawls well initially but Jimenez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
B slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
B is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jimenez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed B's guard.
B tries to get to full guard but Jimenez has control of the leg.

Jimenez moves nicely into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
B tries to improve position but can't.
Jimenez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear B down.
