Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between LJ Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyrus Axe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, LJ Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cyrus Axe!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens gets a clinch.
Stevens could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Axe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stevens smiles and moves away.
Axe tries to clinch up but Stevens circles away and keeps his distance.

Stevens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Axe was well out of range. Poor timing from Stevens.
Stevens keeps the fight on the outside.
Stevens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stevens tries to work over Axe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Stevens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevens slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of LJ Stevens.

Axe closes the distance and clinches up with Stevens, looking for a takedown. Axe pushes Stevens against the cage but Stevens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Stevens digs a right hand underneath Axe's ribcage. Axe let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Stevens lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Axe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stevens defends well.
Axe keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully.

Axe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
