Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tagle's waist but Tagle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.

Tagle has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Tagle tries to score a body lock takedown but Silva shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Tagle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tagle fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva fails with the takedown.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tagle is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Tagle circles away and we're back to standing.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tagle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Silva has a closed guard, preventing Tagle from standing up.

Silva is looking to stand up but Tagle isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ignacio Tagle wasn't active enough on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tagle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tagle, up you get!
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tagle swivels and escapes.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tagle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tagle looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tagle looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tagle!

Silva swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tagle is now in Silva's guard. A big mistake from Silva there, giving up the dominant position!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Silva.
