PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Zielinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reg Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zielinsky fails with the takedown

and Black counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zielinsky's guard now.
Zielinsky wants to sweep but no luck.
Black passes Zielinsky's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zielinsky swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Zielinsky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Black is working away from the top position though.
Zielinsky is in trouble now - Black has advanced to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Black feints and as Zielinsky raises his hands in defense, Black changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Reg Black has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Zielinsky tries to keep at a distance but Black has taken the fight into the clinch.

Black turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Black manages to end up in side control.

Zielinsky tries to lock up and control but Black gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Reg Black has got the better of the ground game so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Black is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zielinsky can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Black manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zielinsky on his heels. He'll look to pass Zielinsky's guard now, I'm sure.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Black cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Well Black has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
