Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Pinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rook has chosen Shinedown-Simple Man as his entrance music. Will Rook is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinto avoids the head kick by Rook.
Rook throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rook tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Pinto cracks Rook with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Pinto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rook paws at him with a jab and circles away.

letting Pinto counter with a right hand.
Pinto throws an overhand right that lands on Rook's shoulder, as Rook tries to avoid the shot.
Pinto takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Rook moves into range and clinches up with Pinto.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pinto wants to break free but Rook has control.
Rook lands a good knee to the midsection. Pinto won't want to take too many of those.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Rook lands a hook that snaps the head of Pinto backwards.
Pinto throws a head punch that misses.
Pinto has a couple of punches blocked by Rook.
Rook takes a shot to the head.
Rook utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Pinto is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rook is keeping busy.

Rook avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rook misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rook moves out of range as Pinto throws a body kick.

Rook connects with a solid leg kick.
Pinto dodges the punch combination from Rook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rook changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pinto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rook controls the position from side control.
Rook wants to control but Pinto is keeping him busy.
Pinto gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rook looks to land a strike but Pinto avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Rook lands a couple of elbows.
Rook tries to free his leg and advance position but Pinto is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pinto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pinto lands with a slapping head kick.
Rook tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pinto swivels and escapes.
Will Rook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rook looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rook is looking to clinch but Pinto is avoiding it.
Pinto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

After the fight, Will Rook was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
