The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahoohalphala closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wallace is trying to improve his position.
Kahoohalphala throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Kahoohalphala lands some shots froms side control.
Kahoohalphala wants to control but Wallace is keeping him busy.

Wallace is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kahoohalphala connects with a decent elbow.
Kahoohalphala has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wallace is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Kahoohalphala looks up at the clock and then as Wallace takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kahoohalphala smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The strikes coming from Kahoohalphala are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Wallace is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kahoohalphala has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Kahoohalphala has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kahoohalphala tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wallace sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kahoohalphala somewhat.
Kahoohalphala bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Kahoohalphala wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.
Kahoohalphala throwing strikes but missing.
Kahoohalphala got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wallace has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kahoohalphala has managed to get both his arms back between Wallace's legs - danger averted.
Wallace has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kahoohalphala doesn't defend quickly enough and Wallace has managed to lock this one up! Can Kahoohalphala escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wallace on a fantastic submission victory.
