The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gunn counters with a one-two to the body.
Castro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gunn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Castro misses with a double jab
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Castro throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Castro throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gunn counters with a head kick.

Gunn has Castro up against the cage in a clinch.

Gunn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Castro falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gunn counters with a series of strikes. Castro will be more careful next time no doubt.
Gunn throws a right and a left that both miss.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gunn.
Castro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gunn counters with a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Gunn counters with a body kick that stops Castro in his tracks momentarily.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gunn.

Castro looks winded!

Castro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gunn. Castro shrugs it off though.
Gunn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Castro eats them both and turns towards Gunn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gunn throws a head kick that half lands.

Gunn lands a big head kick that sends Castro to the canvas! Gunn follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
