Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Karlos Vemola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Karlos Vemola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Mann!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vemola darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Mann actively working from the bottom here.
Vemola passes the guard and advances to mount!
Vemola can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mann is looking to escape.
Mann tries to lock up and control but Vemola gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Vemola cracks Mann with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mann tries to hold on but Vemola pushes him away.
Vemola trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Vemola fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Vemola knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mann on the ground.

Vemola lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Vemola connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Mann trying desperately to get to his feet.
Mann is squirming around, avoiding Vemola's attempts to control the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vemola wants to control the pace but Mann is squirming around nicely.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mann wants to hold on but Vemola pushes him away.

Mann is trying desperately to improve position.
Vemola controlling his opponent.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vemola goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mann is on top in guard.
Vemola wants to stand up but Mann is controlling him.

Mann stands and steps away. Vemola gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Vemola closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mann manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Mann is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vemola defends it well.

Mann is working for a submission of some sort.

Mann is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Vemola still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Vemola has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Mann tries to bench press Vemola off him but Vemola keeps the position.
Mann is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Vemola's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Mann is not content to let Vemola control the position.

Vemola lands with a punch from half guard.

Vemola looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karlos Vemola dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vemola has Mann up against the cage in a clinch.

Vemola wants to stand up but Mann is controlling him.

Mann drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Mann seems to have locked his on tight now - Vemola screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Mann, as he picks up the win!
