Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darcy Lilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilo thows a leg kick but Gordon checks it

Gordon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lilo's head.
Lilo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gordon defends it nicely.

Darcy Lilo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lilo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lilo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gordon avoids it really well and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lilo winds up and cracks Gordon with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lilo keeps Gordon at a distance using the push kick.
Lilo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gordon pinned against the cage. Gordon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gordon lands a nice shot to the body.

Lilo tries to clinch but Gordon moves away

Gordon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lilo moves out of range of the body kick from Gordon.

Gordon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lilo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lilo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lilo wants to pass the guard but Gordon is keeping the position.

Lilo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gordon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lilo has managed to get both his arms back between Gordon's legs - danger averted.

Lilo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gordon's head.
Lilo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gordon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lilo lands a nice short elbow.
Lilo is keen to just control but Gordon is a slippery customer.

Lilo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Gordon is still in real trouble! Can Lilo finish him?

Gordon isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lilo stacks Gordon on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lilo!

Lilo scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Gordon is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lilo can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
