Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lemmy Rymes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Hagg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lemmy Rymes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Hagg!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hagg with a lazy takedown attempt

and Rymes counters with a shoot takedown. Hagg fights it but they end up in guard.
Hagg keeping full guard, as Rymes tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hagg tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hagg keeping moving, preventing Rymes from controlling successfully.
Rymes looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Rymes preventing the sweep.
Rymes sitting in guard, not really doing much.

We're going to have a standup here because Lemmy Rymes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hagg looks for a takedown but Rymes sprawls well.

Rymes darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hagg controlling the position for now.
Rymes is thwarting Hagg's attempts to control the position.
Rymes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hagg knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rymes trying to control from Hagg's half guard. Hagg has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Rymes wants to control from the top but Hagg keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hagg looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rymes has picked Hagg up and slammed him! Hagg can't keep hold of the triangle and Rymes manages to pass to side control!
Rymes prevents Hagg from escaping the position.
Rymes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hagg keeps working.

Rymes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hagg is not content to let Rymes control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Rymes tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Rymes working away.

Rymes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rymes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rymes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hagg, who protects the arm well.

Hagg sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Rymes prevents Hagg from improving his position.
Rymes is thwarting Hagg's attempts to control the position.
Hagg on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rymes blocks the strikes from Hagg.
Hagg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rymes trying to control from half guard but Hagg is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lemmy Rymes dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Hagg instigates a clinch.

Rymes wants the takedown. Hagg is fighting it off but Rymes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hagg's guard against the cage.
Hagg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rymes is one step ahead there.

Hagg is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rymes defends well.
Rymes scoring with some ground and pound.
Lemmy Rymes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rymes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rymes stands and steps away. Hagg gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rymes avoids a kick to the body.
Hagg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rymes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hagg somewhat.

Hagg misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rymes looks for a takedown but Hagg sprawls well.
Rymes looks to clinch

and Hagg counters with a shoot takedown. Rymes fights it but they end up in guard.

Rymes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hagg defends well.
Hagg tries to free his leg and advance position but Rymes is retaining full guard.
Rymes controls Hagg momentarily but Hagg frees himself.
Rymes is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hagg is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Rymes controlling Hagg's posture.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lemmy Rymes wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Hagg is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rymes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Rymes counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lemmy Rymes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Hagg.
Rymes tries to free his leg and advance position but Hagg is retaining full guard.
Hagg can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rymes controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hagg looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hagg keeping moving, preventing Rymes from controlling successfully.
Rymes prevents Hagg from getting back to his feet.
Rymes wants to control from the top but Hagg keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Rymes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Rymes missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rymes decides to stand up.
Horrible takedown by Rymes or perhaps it was just good defense by Hagg which made him look bad.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lemmy Rymes dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Hagg darts in and clinches Rymes up against the cage.
Rymes is looking to break free of the clinch but Hagg has double underhooks.
Hagg wants to take the fight to the mat but Rymes manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Rymes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hagg is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Come on Hagg - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hagg wants a takedown.

Rymes turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Rymes trying to control the position but Hagg is working away.
Hagg tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rymes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hagg is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let Rymes take his back! Uh oh - Rymes has got a rear naked choke here! Hagg is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
