Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kibbe Sly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Van Buyten!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Buyten stalks Sly and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sly's face. Sly staggers backwards, shaken.
Some wild striking there from Van Buyten.
Van Buyten throws a right hand that Sly ducks under and follows up with a left that Sly also avoids with ease.

Sly shoots in and gets a takedown into Van Buyten's guard.
Sly won't allow Van Buyten to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sly wants to control from the top but Van Buyten keeps moving.

Sly drops back looking for a leg! Van Buyten is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Van Buyten manages to kick Sly off! Sly jumps back into Van Buyten's guard.

Sly postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Van Buyten is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sly, into his guard.

Van Buyten got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Van Buyten has managed to get both his arms back between Sly's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sly is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Van Buyten defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Kibbe Sly overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sly is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Van Buyten knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Van Buyten for a finish.
Van Buyten is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Sly off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Sly is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Van Buyten has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sly has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Van Buyten taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sly doesn't care though - he's delighted!
