PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keith Keystone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Guapo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Guapo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keystone feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Guapos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Guapo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Keystone misses with an uppercut. Guapo saw that one coming.
Keystone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Keystone lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Guapo backs up against the cage.
Keystone connects with the punch.

Guapo gets caught napping as Keystone dives in and scores a takedown. Guapo manages to retain guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Guapo looking for a sweep. Not yet Guapo, not yet.
Keystone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Keystone lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Guapo is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Guapo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

El Guapo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Some bone on bone action there as Keystone checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Guapo uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Guapo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Keystone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Keystone moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Keystone is looking to take a break and control but Guapo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Keystone wants to work for an arm triangle but Guapo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
