Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Diaz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Nero Remix). Cena is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Booty Work. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cena tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Diaz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cena keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Cena shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Diaz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Cena feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Diaz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cena looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Cena hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Cena sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dick Diaz.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diaz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
