The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leite shoots for a takedown but Slayer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Slayer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Leite's hands.
Slayer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Luis Leite has been cut.
Leite shoots for a double leg takedown but Slayer sprawls well. He's pushed Leite's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Slayer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Slayer thuds a left hand into Leite's body.
Leite looks winded!

Slayer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Slayer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Leite's head.

Slayer decides to stand and escape the position.
Slayer closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Leite! Slayer dives in looking to finish! Leite is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
