Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ahiga Otaktay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Otaktay comes to the cage accompanied by ISIS - THE TOWER. Mayo has chosen Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Mayo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mayo moves into the clinch.

It looks like Ahiga Otaktay has been cut.
With the fighters up against the cage, Mayo throws an elbow but misses.

Otaktay lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mayo backwards.
Otaktay using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Mayo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Otaktay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mayo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mayo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mayo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Otaktay kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
