Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elias Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes into the arena with Miseria Cantare - The Beginning blaring out of the sound system. Nielsen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cornstick Feat. Benny Jamz & Pharfar - What Money Can Do kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nielsen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nielsen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Taylor sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Taylor avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nielsen.

Nielsen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Nielsen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Taylor has escaped the position, nice work there.

Taylor got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nielsen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Taylor has managed to get both his arms back between Nielsen's legs - danger averted.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Taylor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Taylor stuffs the takedown.
Nielsen shoots in looking for a takedown but Taylor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nielsen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jake Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elias Nielsen.

Nielsen dives in and grabs Taylor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes down on Nielsen's head and hops out.

Taylor tries to stand but Nielsen is controlling from the bottom.

Taylor wants to control from the top but Nielsen keeps moving.
Taylor wants to get up but he can't break Nielsen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Taylor tries to free his leg and advance position but Nielsen is retaining full guard.

Nielsen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Taylor is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nielsen.

Nielsen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Taylor throws a hook to the side of Nielsen's head but Nielsen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Taylor steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Nielsen is out on his feet! Taylor sets himself and nearly takes Nielsen's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
