Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Loki Njord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Njord misses.
Nixon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Njord defends it nicely.
Nixon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nixon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nixon tries to clinch
and Njord counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Njord lands a nice hook to Nixon's body. Nixon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nixon throws a head kick that misses.
Njord lands a really nice looking cross but Nixon seems unphased.
Nixon slips a jab and a cross from Njord.
Njord bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Njord rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Njord lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nixon circles away quickly and effectively.
No joy there for Nixon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A slow jab from Njord misses its intended target.
Nixon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Njord ducks under a wild hook from Nixon.
Nixon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Njord to score with a decent uppercut.
Nixon is still on wobbly legs! Can Njord finish him?
Njord dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nixon misses with a series of wild punches.
Nixon seems to have recovered his senses.
Njord swats away the attempt to clinch by Nixon.
Njord misses with a double jab.
Richard Nixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nixon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Njord counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nixon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nixon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Njord tries to avoid it but Nixon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Njord to the ground. Njord escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Loki Njord has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Nixon.
Nixon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Njord stalks Nixon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nixon's face. Nixon staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nixon wants to clinch but Njord slips to the side
and Njord makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Njord works over Nixon's head and body with a nice combination.
Njord misses with an uppercut.
Nixon fails with an attempt to clinch.

Nixon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Nixon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Njord is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Nixon looks winded!

Njord breaks from the clinch.
Njord looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Oooooh!!! Njord has knocked Nixon down with a huge combo! Njord steps away and waves a wobbly Nixon back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Nixon gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Njord gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Nixon is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Loki Njord!
A very excited looking Loki Njord made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
