The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maynard paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mitchell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maynard's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
