Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miroslav Coktov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Fish!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish wants to clinch

and Coktov counters with a shoot takedown. Fish fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Coktov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fish should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Coktov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fish swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Coktov content to stall in guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Miroslav Coktov just wasn't active enough.
Coktov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fish tries to clinch
and Coktov counters with a lovely shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fish tries to sprawl but Coktov drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fish blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coktov.

Coktov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fish trying to keep a closed guard but Coktov is proving a slippery customer.

Coktov gets to his feet. Fish looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Coktov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fish but Fish pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fish gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Coktov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fish swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fish makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fish.

Fish looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fish working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Coktov.
Coktov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Coktov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fish for as long as he can get away with.
Fish tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Fish closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fish is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Coktov pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Coktov breaks from the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Coktov jumps into guard, dragging Fish to the mat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Fish has eaten all the pies!
Fish trying to control the position from guard on top but Coktov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Coktov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fish!

Coktov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fish has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fish closes this distance looking for a takedown but Coktov circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coktov.

Horrible takedown by Fish or perhaps it was just good defense by Coktov which made him look bad.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fish looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fish shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Coktov pinned against the cage. Coktov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Coktov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fish swivels and escapes.
Coktov shoots in but Fish avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Coktov throws a head kick but Fish moves out of range.
Coktov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fish eats them both and turns towards Coktov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fish lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Coktov fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fish is trying hard to land a takedown here. Coktov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fish is breathing heavily.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Coktov - that will leave a mark!

Fish tries to clinch up but Coktov circles away and keeps his distance.

Coktov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Coktov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fish is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Coktov gets to his feet. Fish looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Coktov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coktov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Fish looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Coktov is fending him off so far but Fish persists. Nope, Coktov circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fish slaps away a takedown attempt from Coktov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fish keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fish thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Coktov is looking to improve his position but Fish isn't that keen on the idea.

Fish trying to control but Coktov is having none of it.

Coktov is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Coktov tries to lock up and control but Fish gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

I would just about give that final round to Samuel Fish.
Well Coktov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
