The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Shields or perhaps it was just good defense by Warner which made him look bad.

Shields instigates a clinch.

Shields jumps into guard, dragging Warner to the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Warner wants to stand but Shields is controlling his posture from full guard.
Warner works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Warner stalling.
Warner is thwarting Shields's attempts to control the position.
Warner is trying to control. Shields wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Shields wants to control the action here but instead Warner manages to pass to full mount!
Shields tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Shields really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Shields is working hard here to advance position.
Warner dominating with strikes here.
Shields tries to hold on but Warner postures up.
Shields wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Warner trying to control.
Shields rolls, trying to escape but Warner keeps control of the position.
Shields trying to control the position but Warner manages to sink in the hooks.
Shields is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Warner landing with strikes.
Shields can't escape the position.
Shields is breathing heavily.
Shields is trying to remain composed but Warner is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
I would not like to be Shields right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Warner has Shields flattened out and is raining down punches.
Warner keeps control of the position easily here as Shields tries to buck him off.
Shields is trying to break free.

Warner has managed to slip his arm under Shields's chin. This could be all over... yep, Shields is tapping out! Submission win for Warner.
