The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard throws a head kick that misses.
Howard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Penn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A good leg kick by Penn.
Howard checks a low kick from Penn.
Howard misses with a straight right.
Penn is looking to chop away at Howard's legs.
Howard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Howard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Penn looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Howard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Penn.
Penn throws a leg kick but Howard sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Penn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Howard. That did some damage!

Penn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Penn connects with a leg kick. Howard looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Penn feints and then cracks Howard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Howard down.
Penn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Howard manages to avoid it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Penn.
Penn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Howard has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Penn throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A nice inside leg kick there by Penn. That's going to slow Howard down.
Penn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Howard takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Penn throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Penn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

It looks like Gerald Howard has been cut.
That kick from Penn tenderised Howard's leg. Howard is trying to keep his angry face on.

Whack! Penn lands a heavy head kick that drops Howard. The ref tackles Penn to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Howard was done.
