Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hulk Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Sypher!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sypher is fending him off so far but Hogan persists. Nope, Sypher circles away and we're back to standing.
Hogan fails with the takedown

and Sypher decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hogan's guard.
Sypher trying to control but Hogan is working from the bottom.
Hogan is trying to keep Sypher in close.
Sypher tries to free his leg and advance position but Hogan is retaining full guard.
Hogan wants to sweep here but Sypher controlling him for the moment.
Sypher pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hogan is keeping the position for now.

Sypher throws a big elbow that misses.
Hogan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sypher is one step ahead there.
Sypher wants to stand but Hogan is controlling his posture from full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hogan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hulk Hogan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sypher scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sypher moves nicely into side control.
Hogan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sypher working away.

Hogan wants to control but Sypher postures up.

Sypher swings around for an armbar but Hogan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sypher's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sypher can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hogan landing some decent shots from guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sypher scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sypher throws a body kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hogan pushes Sypher away with a front kick.

Sypher shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hogan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hogan can't do much from the bottom here.

You can see the frustration on Hogan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hogan keeps Sypher under control for a moment.

Sypher throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hogan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hogan.
Hogan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sypher!

Hogan scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sypher tries to hold on but Hogan pushes him away.

Hogan postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Sypher bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Hogan and the fight is over!
