Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ty Coon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mason pushes Coon up against the cage in a clinch.
Coon is trying to break the clinch but Mason has him pressed against the cage.
Mason tries a knee to the head but Coon blocks it.
Mason gets underhooks to prevent Coon's takedown attempt.
Mason with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Ty Coon has been cut.
Coon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Mason throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Coon blocks it with crossed arms.
Mason tries a knee to the head but Coon blocks it.
Coon tries for a takedown but Mason manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ty Coon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Coon tries to throw a body punch but Mason avoids it by throwing Coon back against the cage.

Mason keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Coon's efforts to push away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mason ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mason no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Mason closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mason has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Coon off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Coon shoots in looking for a takedown. Mason tries to sprawl out of it but Coon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mason manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Coon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mason must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mason stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Coon throws up his legs and catches Mason in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Mason tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Coon! That came out of nowhere!
