Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Hattingh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Hattingh told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hattingh.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Phoenix is looking to regain half guard here but Hattingh keeps moving and retains side control.
Hattingh wants to stand but Phoenix has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Phoenix tries to land a sweep but no joy.

It looks like George Hattingh has been cut.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Phoenix takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Phoenix sends Hattingh crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Phoenix is motioning to the referee to let Hattingh up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Phoenix delivers a nice body kick.
Hattingh is still on wobbly legs! Can Phoenix finish him?
Phoenix closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Hattingh! Phoenix dives in looking to finish! Hattingh is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simon Phoenix!
